After the chorus, you repeat a second verse and chorus and wind up on the D major chord again. From here you enter the bridge by moving to a C chord. In case you’re not a music theory buff, a C chord is, for all practical purposes, a B chord. These two chords use the same notes on the keyboard; they have two different names because they relate slightly differently to other chords. You move from C to F (B–E) and then C–G before winding up back on the root D major chord. From there, you move to an A–E–A ending that holds the A through a sus change to drop it back to G for the instrumental part. You move from G–D twice before beginning the chorus on Em but it progresses differently than before. From Em you move to A (a m2–5 change) twice and then back to D–A, then G–Gm to set up the D/A–Asus–A that resolves to the final D major chord through the 4 (G).
